Firefighters in Roseville help deliver baby girl
A group of firefighters in Roseville had to moonlight as OB-GYNs early Monday after being called to a woman in labor.
According to the City of Roseville, the mother was only "seconds from delivery" when the firefighters arrived and immediately set to work preparing for delivery.
A few minutes later, at 6:33 a.m., the baby girl was welcomed into the world, with mom and daughter taken to hospital where "both are doing well."
"Fire department response time was less than 2 minutes, while time of delivery from 911 call was fewer than 6 minutes," Roseville Fire Department said on Facebook.
"Great job, gang!" it added, praise that is fully deserved.
