First person through the gates at Minnesota State Fair 2018 is ... a Packers fan

That's it, cancel the fair.

Happy Minnesota State Fair Opening Day! Well, at least it was happy, till we realized the first person through the gate is a Packers fan.

We're not sure if it was intentional, but if it was, Ginger Johnson has pulled off a spectacular troll of Minnesota, entering its Great Get Together wearing a jersey of the Vikings' most hated rivals.

The resident of Apple Valley got in line at 11:11 p.m. Wednesday to enter through the Snelling Avenue entrance first, according to MPR's Tim Nelson.

Johnson's achievement brings an end to the recent dominance in the "first through the gate" stakes enjoyed by Brian Motiaytis, who had been first in line for three straight years.

But her attire attracted comment from, among others, Twitter's fierce defender of the Land of 10,000 Lakes, Indignant Minnesotan.

Their tweet was simple: "NOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!"

In all seriousness, Johnson intends to spend 10 days at the fair this year, which truly is outstanding commitment, and we hope she has a wonderful time.

If she wanted to pull off the ultimate troll, she'll be first in line every day, wearing that same jersey...
