'Fixer Upper' star Joanna Gaines came to Minneapolis unprepared for the cold

She didn't have a winter coat – and needed some new gear for her baby, Crew, as well.

"There's no such thing as bad weather, only bad clothing."

HGTV star Joanna Gaines should have heeded those words before she set off for Minnesota.

That's because as she was set to land at MSP, she posted a picture of the snow-swept landscape she could see from the plane, noting on her Instagram Story: "Too bad I forgot my coat."

Bringing a winter coat with you when heading to the Land of 10,000 Lakes really should be Minnesota: 101.

And the "Fixer Upper" star's lack of preparedness sent her not only looking for more suitable clothing for herself, but also her 5-month-old son, Crew.

She ended up in children's store Pacifier in the North Loop this past Monday, where she graciously posed for a snap with store staff.

An employee told the Star Tribune that Gaines spent 20 minutes in the shop and bought "quite a few items," adding that it looked like she needed some cold weather gear.

Gaines and her husband Chip of course have some strong links to Minnesota, having launched a collaboration with Minneapolis-based Target last year to sell their homeware range, Hearth & Hand with Magnolia.

We don't have the heart to tell her that the Monday temperature of 28 degrees isn't actually that bad for a Minnesota

Then again, Gaines is from Waco, where the average high is 60 in December...
