Fleetwood Mac returning to Twin Cities – without Lindsey Buckingham

They'll play the Xcel Energy Center in October.

Fleetwood Mac will return to the Twin Cities as part of their new tour, the first since lead guitarist Lindsey Buckingham decided to go his own way.

The legendary band will play the Xcel Energy Center on Monday, Oct. 22, with tickets going on sale on May 4 and costing between $69.50 to $299.50.

It will be the first time since the band reformed that they have toured without lead guitarist and co-vocalist Lindsey Buckingham.

It was announced two weeks ago that Buckingham had left the band, with Rolling Stone reporting he had been "fired" over a disagreement about this tour.

Buckingham wrote and sang some of Fleetwood Mac's most famous songs, including "Go Your Own Way," "Tusk" and "Big Love."

He has been replaced by newcomers Mike Campbell, of Tom Petty & the Heartbreakers, and Neil Finn of Crowded House.

They will join Fleetwood Mac stalwarts Stevie Nicks, Mick Fleetwood, Christine McVie and John McVie for the tour.

In an interview, Nicks said they are planning some surprises on the tour, delving into the band's extensive back catalogue, while Fleetwood said: "We know we have something new, yet it’s got the unmistakable Mac sound."
