Former Fox Sports North host Katie Emmer is out at NBC Sports Philadelphia a little over a year after taking a job in Pennsylvania.

The former Minnesota Wild reporter moved to Philadelphia in September 2019 after leaving FSN, but revealed on her social media pages Tuesday that she's departed the station.

"Unfortunately because of the pandemic I have found out I won't be returning to NBC Sports Philadelphia this season to cover the Flyers," she said.

"And I'm bummed, I wish I had more time, but I'm really grateful for the year I was given."

Emmer, who is the daughter of Minnesota's 6th District Rep. Tom Emmer, was hired as a full-time FSN reporter and studio host in summer 2018.

A St. Cloud State University graduate, where she was a studio host and reporter for SCSU Sports Network and a rink-side reporter for Huskies hockey.

In May 2018, Emmer was named the winner of the 2018 Jim Nantz Award, which recognizes the top collegiate sports broadcaster in the country. She's the first woman to win the award.
