Former KSTP-TV anchor Harris Faulkner is coming back to the Twin Cities to deliver the keynote speech at a journalism function Thursday, the Pioneer Press reports.

Now an anchor with Fox News Channel in New York City, Faulkner is taking part in ThreeSixty Journalism's Widening the Circle dinner and fundraiser at the University of St. Thomas' Minneapolis campus.

According to the organization, ThreeSixty Journalism "helps diverse Twin Cities teens develop their skills and follow their dreams."

Faulkner is expected to address the importance mentors have played in her life, and will discuss how mentoring has the power to open doors to diversify journalism.

Twin Cities journalists will also be taking part in the event, including WCCO-TV news anchor Amelia Santaniello, who will emcee the program. Her WCCO colleague, Angela Davis, is also set to receive the Widening the Circle award during the festivities.

Davis is being cited for her participation in the programs Girls in Action and Lovin' the Skin I'm In.

KSTP's "Twin Cities Live" co-anchor Chris Egert is also expected to oversee the event's fund-a-need auction.

Faulkner currently anchors "Fox Report Weekend" Saturdays and Sundays on the FNC, and frequently appears on the channel's "Happening Now" show.
