FOX 9 announces anchors for new weekday evening news program
There's new anchor team at FOX 9 in the Twin Cities, as the station announced Tuesday that Tim Blotz and Naomi Pescovitz will co-anchor the weekday evening news.
According to the Pioneer Press, viewers can expect to see the duo Monday-Friday during a new 6:30 p.m. newscast, and then during the hourlong "FOX 9+ news at 7 p.m."
It's a nice promotion for Blotz, who has been with the station for more than a decade as a political reporter and Friday-Saturday anchor. Pescovitz had been anchoring the 7 p.m. news by herself.
"If you know the Twin Cities news market, you know sharing the desk with TimBlotzFOX9 is quite the honor," Pescovitz said in a tweet. "Congratulations Tim, I'm excited for this new challenge and look forward to learning from you each night!"
BMTN has reached out to FOX 9 for information about the new 6:30 p.m. newscast.
