His show has been running for less than a year in Minnesota, but FOX 9's Jason Matheson will get the chance to bring it to a national audience this summer.

The broadcaster's morning entertainment and talk program "The Jason Show" only debuted on FOX 9 last August, but he revealed Wednesday that it will be getting a national test this coming June.

He made the announcement during a guest appearance on Fox's celebrity gossip show "Hollywood Today Live" during a segment with host Ross Matthews (which you can watch above).

Matheson's show, filmed before a live studio audience and featuring a mixture of entertainment news, celebrity interviews and features on "regular people," could get a much bigger audience if the testing proves successful.

The Star Tribune suggests Fox stations in New York and Los Angeles could be among the test sites.

Matheson is also a co-host of the "Jason and Alexis" morning show on myTalk 107.1 FM. The Pioneer Press notes he left FOX 9 in 2013 and worked for WCCO briefly, before returning to FOX 9 two years later.
