FOX 9 host Jason Matheson is getting a one-hour mid-morning show.

The Pioneer Press reports "The Jason Show" will debut Aug. 17 at 10 a.m., and is billed as a wide-ranging entertainment and talk show.

Matheson just returned to KMSP four months ago.

He was with the station from 2000-2013 and helped launch the “FOX 9 Morning Buzz,” among other projects. He left in February 2013 to co-host My Talk 107.1’s “Jason and Alexis” morning drive time show (a gig he still has).

Matheson returned to TV a year later when he signed on with WCCO, before then coming back to KMSP in February of this year.
