Fox News weekend anchor Gregg Jarrett, 59, was arrested at a Minneapolis-St. Paul Airport bar on Wednesday.

The Star Tribune reports Jarrett was taken into custody at the Northern Lights Grill in the main terminal at around 12:30 p.m. Wednesday for refusing to cooperate with airport police, who had been called to the bar. The newspaper said Jarrett was "said by the network to be having 'serious personal issues.'”

According to the Associated Press, Metropolitan Airports Commission spokesman Patrick Hogan said officers reported that Jarrett seemed intoxicated, acted belligerent and refused to follow their orders. Jarrett was booked into Hennepin County Jail on a misdemeanor charge of obstructing the legal process by interfering with a peace officer, Hennepin County Sheriff's records show.

Jarrett was released from custody shortly after 1:30 a.m. Thursday after a $300 bond was posted. He's due in court on June 6 at the Southdale Courthouse.

On May 12, the television industry website TV Newser said that Jarrett had "requested time off for personal reasons and Fox obliged.” According to his network bio, Jarrett has had numerous high-profile assignments for the network; he recently covered the trial of George Zimmerman and the crash of Asiana Flight 214 at the San Francisco Airport. He has been with Fox News since 2002, joining from MSNBC. He previously worked at Court TV.

The story of his arrest has been widely distributed, including being published on USA Today, Huffington Post, and the Hollywood Reporter. A Fox News spokeswoman, Irena Briganti, didn’t immediately respond to an after-hours email from the AP seeking comment about the arrest.
