They're known for their Chicago-style deep dish pizzas, but Giordano's latest concoction is very much Minnesotan.
As of this week, the pizza chain has started slinging limited edition Juicy Lucy pizzas at its two Twin Cities restaurants, in Uptown and Richfield.
You'll have between now and the end of the year to sample the new 'za, with Giordano's ending the pie's run on New Year's Eve.
The picture above gives you an idea of what to expect. The deep dish pie will be filled with seasoned hamburger, American and mozzarella cheese and caramelized onions baked into pizza dough.
It will then be topped with lettuce, tomatoes, red onion, pickles and ranch dressing.
It's an homage to the Twin Cities burger made famous by venues like Matt's Bar and The 5-8 Club, which sees burger patties filled with cheese that spews out as hot as a volcano when you take a bite.
Giordano's will be donating $1 for each Juicy Lucy pizza sold during October to a local cancer nonprofit to mark Breast Cancer Awareness.
The pizza will be available in restaurants as well as for carry-out and delivery.
