Gordon Ramsay's new 'MasterChef' competition includes 6 Minnesotans

Six people from Minnesota are among those who are hoping to cook up the recipe for success on Gordon Ramsay's reality TV competition "MasterChef," the Pioneer Press reports.

The Minnesotans vying to advance to next round of 40 spots are which are James Blesi (Anoka County), Liyah Sangathit (Bloomington), Marie Porter (Minneapolis), Jordan Roots (Minneapolis), Nick Garcia (St. Paul) and Joan Webb (Vadnais Heights).

"MasterChef" kicks off its fourth season Wednesday night with an audition round from 7 to 9 p.m., and airs locally on Fox 9.

Ramsay, the fiery celebrity chef behind "Hell's Kitchen" and "Kitchen Nightmares," is among the show's three judges.

The second audition round airs May 29.

The winner of "MasterChef" will get $250,000 and a cookbook deal.

Meanwhile, Ramsey is scheduled to be in Minnesota at the end of the month for his "Hotel Hell" reality show.

Ramsay and his crew will be shooting at the Calumet Inn in Pipestone May 28 to June 1 for an episode for the show's second season.
