Guns N' Roses announced for summer concert at Target Field

Tickets go on sale later this week.

Target Field has announced the second of its summer concert series acts this year, booking the legendary Guns 'N Roses for a July show.

Axl Rose, Slash et al confirmed a nationwide stadium tour on Monday, with the home of the Twins among the ballparks that they'll play.

Their show has been booked for July 24, with tickets going on sale this Friday at noon Central. You can find ticket information here.

Original band members Axl Rose, Slash and Duff McKagan reunited four years ago after two decades of estrangement, during which Rose continued to tour under the band's name, while Slash toured separately.

In September, Target Field announced it will be hosting the Green Day, Weezer and Fall Out Boy tour, with the bands playing the stadium on Aug. 11.

It marks a more rock-heavy year for Target Field, which in recent years has been a popular venue for country artists such as the Zac Brown Band, Florida Georgia Line, and Luke Bryan.

The stadium has also hosted iconic artists such as Paul McCartney and Billy Joel since opening in 2010.
