Guy Fieri opens 2 virtual Flavortown Kitchen restaurants in MN
Guy Fieri, the famous TV chef, has opened two virtual restaurants in Minnesota, and more may be on the way.
Guy Fieri's Flavortown Kitchen has opened locations in Burnsville and Maple Grove (inside Buca di Beppo locations), according to the virtual restaurant's website.
Food from Flavortown Kitchen is only available for delivery. You can order on the Flavortown website here or via a third-party delivery service (GrubHub, Seamless, etc.)
On Flavortown's menu are a bunch of items that have been popular at Fieri's other restaurants. On the menu, there's a "real cheezy burger" made with "super melty cheese," a classic The Chicken Guy! sandwich, a "crazy Cuban sandwich," Flavortown fries, "mac daddy mac n cheese" and other items with a Fieri twist.
Flavortown Kitchen is the ghost kitchen to launch thanks to a partnership with Virtual Dining Concepts. The company, owned by restaurateur and Plant Hollywood founder Robert Earl of Earl Enterprises, helps restaurants bring in more revenue by installing virtual kitchens branded by celebrities and others at existing restaurants, such as Mariah Carey's cookie line that launched in the Twin Cities in December.
The Washington Post says Flavortown Kitchen first debuted in the U.S. in late January and has since opened dozens of ghost kitchens across the country in restaurants Earl Enterprises owns, like Buca di Beppo.
More are set to open in the future, too, including in Minnesota, with Food and Wine reporting one is bound for Eden Prairie in the coming weeks. A search shows there may be one coming to Minneapolis and St. Paul, too, but the locations have not been added to the Flavortown website.
There are five Buca di Beppo locations in Minnesota: Burnsville, Maple Grove, Eden Prairie, Minneapolis and St. Paul.
