Hall & Oates

The Minnesota State Fair is making the dreams come true of Hall & Oates fans by booking the duo for its 2019 Grandstand Concert Series.

The pair, one of the most successful acts of the 1980s, will play the Grandstand on Wednesday, Aug. 28.

Tickets go on sale at 10 a.m. this Friday and will cost $57 or $67.

Hall & Oates have sold more albums than any other duo in music history, debuting in 1973 with Abandoned Luncheonette, which featured the Top 10 single "She's Gone."

Bigger success followed, leading to an expansive back catalog that includes "Rich Girl," "Out of Touch," "Maneater," "Private Eyes," "I Can't Go For That," "Sara Smile," and "Kiss On My List."

Other acts already announced for the State Fair Grandstand Series include Lionel Richie, Brandi Carlile, Weird Al Yankovic, Hootie & The Blowfish and Barenaked Ladies.

Tickets will be available from etix.com or by calling 800-514-3849, as well as at the State Fairgrounds from 10 a.m. to noon on Friday.
