HBO makes 500 hours of shows, movies available for free

Not an HBO subscriber? Now's your chance to watch some of the premium channel's content for free.

The company announced on Friday that it is making almost 500 hours of shows and Warner Bros. movies on its streaming platforms, HBO NOW and HBO GO, available for free until the end of April.

The move has been taken "to provide some entertainment relief for those doing their part to keep everyone safe and healthy in this time of social isolation."

While some of the channel's most popular shows, including Game of Thrones and Westworld, are not included in the freebie, it is including classic series such as The Sopranos, The Wire, and Six Feet Under.

More recent series including Veep, Barry, Silicon Valley and Succession are also free to watch.

You can access them via downloading the HBO NOW or GO apps through your streaming device, watch it on your computer at HBONOW.com or HBOGO.com, or get it through your TV provider's platform.
