We don't think Old Man Winter will abide by the order.

A temporary restraining order has been slapped on "Old Man Winter, Mr. Snow and all meteorologists in Minnesota."

The emergency motion was issued by Hennepin County Judge Kevin Burke on Thursday, with the court document noting that the restraining order was granted on behalf of Citizens of Minnesota, who are represented in the matter by attorneys from the law firm of Sue, Grabit, and Run.

"This order tests the limits of judicial authority. But it is not a reflexive or petulant act by a frustrated judge. That would be entirely inappropriate," the document says.

It then goes on to accuse meteorologists of conspiring with Old Man Winter and Mr. Snow to increase television and radio ratings.

All the defendants can operate as per normal in neighboring states, the judge notes.

"Mr. Snow can dump all the snow it wants on the neighboring states of Wisconsin (particularly the City of Green Bay), Iowa, South Dakota and North Dakota," the order says.

And in further breaking news, we just received a response from Old Man Winter.
