Henry continues its run as Minnesota's most popular baby name
Henry and Olivia have once again proven to be the most popular baby names in Minnesota.
The Social Security Administration (SSA) revealed its annual list of the most frequently given names in each state Thursday. And the top boys and girls names in 2020 were pretty similar to 2019.
Henry, for the third straight year, came in No. 1, with 350 newborns receiving the name last year. (This also clearly demonstrates Minnesota is a baby naming trendsetter, since Henry made the top 10 baby names nationally for the first time in a century.)
It was followed by Oliver (also second in 2019), Theodore, Liam and Jack.
On the girls side, Olivia was the most popular for the second straight year (though it hasn't been out of the top two since 2006, when it came third). Olivia was followed by repeat runner-up Charlotte, Emma, Evelyn and Amelia.
