Here are the winners from this year's 2023 Minnesota Brewers Cup Awards

The 2023 Minnesota Brewers Cup Awards took place this past weekend, with Minneapolis' Falling Knife Brewery the big winner. 

Falling Knife, found at 783 Harding St., won Best in Show and top American Lager for its Tomm's Lager beer. It also won first place in the Wild, Sour and Funky Ales category for its Cumulonimbus brew.

The Brewers Cup Competition takes place annually and showcases hundreds of beers and multiple breweries from across the state. In 2023, over 450 beers were showcased and more than 90 breweries competed. 

The beverages were organized into 24 different categories based on style and entries were judged by a blind taste test on how well each submission represented the standards of its respective style. This marks the first time since the event started in 2019 that hard seltzers were added as a category.

Of the 24 categories, a Minneapolis brewery took first place in ten.
