The Twin Cities will roll out the red carpet again this weekend for the 14th Annual "So the World May Hear" celebrity gala at the St. Paul RiverCentre.

Funds raised at the annual event help the Starkey Hearing Foundation provide hearing aids to thousands of people in need around the world.

The Star Tribune says among the confirmed guests for Sunday's event are former First Lady/Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, Oscar winners Forest Whitaker and Marlee Matlin, and Archbishop Desmond Tutu.

Whitaker and Tutu will also be honored at the event for their humanitarian efforts.

The newspaper says fans can catch a glimpse of the celebrities as they arrive on the red carpet outside the Kellogg Boulevard entrance of the RiverCentre from 3:30 to 5 p.m.

Several local sports stars are also expected to attend, including Vikings Adrian Peterson and Greg Jennings, and former Twins Paul Molitor and Dave Winfield.

This year's event will also feature music by R&B star John Legend, Matchbox 20 singer Rob Thomas and rocker Sammy Hagar.

Last year's event reportedly raised more than $8 million. Among those honored for their humanitarian efforts at last year's gala were actor Ashton Kutcher and Sir Richard Branson, while Lionel Richie helped provide the music.

KARE 11, WCCO and the Star Tribune all posted photo galleries of the 2013 celebration.

Past galas have attracted several big-name stars, including Billy Crystal, Robin Williams, Elton John and former President Bill Clinton.
