Hopkins teen's grad surprise for hospitalized grandmother featured on 'TODAY Show'
A Twin Cities high schooler who flew to New Jersey to take a graduation photo with her hospitalized grandmother has gone viral.
Marley Comito is set to graduate from Hopkins High School next week. Her grandmother had planned to fly from her home on the East Coast to the Twin Cities this week, so she could see her granddaughter walk across the stage.
But she fell and suffered a fractured pelvis. Now hospitalized, she had no way to get to Comito.
So Comito came to her.
She took a flight to New Jersey and surprised her grandmother in the hospital room. Comito's mother, WCCO radio host Jordana Green, posted video of the touching moment to her Instagram.
