If any Minnesotans watched Apple's latest product launch on Wednesday, they might have seen a familiar face.

Minnesota State Rep. Ilhan Omar made a brief appearance during the tech giant's eagerly anticipated annual reveal, which on Wednesday saw it announce the launch of the new iPhone XS, XS Max, XR and the Apple Watch 4.

Omar appeared during a section led by Apple's senior VP of worldwide marketing Phil Schiller, who was lauding the quality of the iPhone's camera.

He then went on to reveal that the Time magazine cover featuring Rep. Omar was actually shot using an iPhone.

"I knew I was an Apple fan for a reason," Omar tweeted after the segment.

Omar, who is running to replace Rep. Keith Ellison in Minnesota's 5th Congressional District, appeared on the cover of Time magazine in Sept. 2017 as part of a cover story: "Firsts: Women who are Changing the World."
