Ice Cold Killers TV show revisits the Kira Steger murder case
The case of Kira Steger, a Wisconsin native whose body was found in the Mississippi River months after she disappeared, will be chronicled on the show Ice Cold Killers Thursday night.
The episode premieres at 8 p.m. CST on Investigation Discovery. Here's the summary, from the channel's schedule page.
"A frigid winter hovers over St Paul, Minnesota. 30 year old Kira Steger hasn't reported to work and her family and friends are terrified she might be in danger. Her disappearance leads to a three month investigation that halts to a heartbreaking ending."

Steger was last seen alive on Feb. 21, 2013, leaving her job at Mall of America. Her disappearance prompted massive searches. In May that year, authorities recovered her body from the Mississippi River in St. Paul.
Her husband, Jeffery Trevino, was charged with murder before her body was found. He was convicted of second-degree murder in October 2013, and sentenced to more than 27 years in prison. He appealed his conviction, but it was denied in 2015. He's currently at a prison in Rush City, and is expected to be released in June of 2031, according to online corrections records.
