Jeremy Messersmith to headline Bastille Day Block Party

Jeremy Messersmith will headline this year's Bastille Day Block Party at Barbette in Uptown.

The full lineup for the July 15 event was revealed this weekend, with Messersmith topping the bill for the Franco-American celebration hosted by the Lake Street bistro.

Also on the schedule are Static Panic, Black Widows, Brass Messengers, Infiammati FireCircus, JØUR, Madine DuBois and Les Folies Risque, among many others.

Music's not the only attraction at the event of course, there will also fries and picnic foods, as well as frozen desserts courtesy of MN Nice Cream.

For the drinkers, beer will be provided by New Belgium, with wine and cocktails also on the menu, and browsers can have their fill of a local artist market on the block.

A portion of the proceeds from the event will go to Be The Match, the Minneapolis-based worldwide marrow registry.

The event takes place from 3-10 p.m. outside of Barbette at 1600 W. Lake St.

It's the 16th annual event hosted by the eatery, more information on which can be found on its Facebook page.
