Kelcey Carlson gets new role with FOX 9 News

FOX 9 is making some slight adjustments to its anchor desk.
Publish date:

FOX 9's anchor desk will look a little bit different in the very near future as Kelcey Carlson and Amy Hockert move around.

Carlson is leaving the 5 p.m. newscast and will join Randy Meier as a co-anchor on "FOX 9's 10 at 10" newscast.

She'll still be on with Meier for the 6 p.m. news and alongside Jeff Passolt during the 9 p.m. news.

"Kelcey has deep roots as a hard news journalist, making her a perfect addition to this newscast," FOX 9 News Director Marian Davey said, via AdWeek.

According to the Star Tribune, Hockert will take Carlson's spot as the anchor of the 5 p.m. newscast.

Carlson joined FOX 9 in 2014 from WRAL-TV in Raleigh, North Carolina, where she was the morning show anchor.

She grew up in Indiana, and is a graduate of Indiana University.
