St. Paul-based brand Kemps is bringing back its popular Gingerbread Men Ice Cream Sandwiches to mark the start of the holiday season.

The sandwiches will be available in stores throughout Minnesota and Wisconsin, including Cub, Coborn’s, Knowlan’s, Skogen’s Festival Foods, Walmart and Hy-Vee. The company will also introduce other new holiday products this year.

“Customers have literally been begging us to bring back the Gingerbread Men Ice Cream Sandwiches for years, and we can’t think of a better time than 2020 to reintroduce these treats, as we all could use a little extra joy this year,” said Kemps spokesperson Rachel Kyllo in a statement.

Fans even created a Facebook page to petition Kemps to bring back the sandwiches.

Kemps is also rolling out a series of new season flavors: EggNog Ice Cream, Peppermint Mocha Holiday Nog, Cinnamon Egg Nog and Vanilla Egg Nog.

Founded in 1914, Kemps first got its start in Southeastern Minnesota as a small creamery. The company now has facilities in Minnesota, Wisconsin, Iowa and North Dakota.
