KOOL 108 kicks off Christmas music weeks early, because why not?

Let's be honest, it's been a long year.
Publish date:

If ever there was a year for Christmas to come a tad early, 2020 would be it.

Of course, the big day is still officially slated on the calendar for the 25th of December (as far as we know), but as far as the Twin Cities' airwaves are concerned, it's already well underway.

That's thanks to KOOL 108 (KQQL 107.9 FM), which announced Friday that it will be changing its format to all Christmas music, all the time, through the holidays:

As the announcement above points out, Christmas is indeed coming early for holiday music lovers; in years past, KOOL 108 has kicked into yuletide tunes as late as Nov. 22

So, as much as possible, take your mind off the worst of 2020 — the pandemic, the recession, the election — and look forward to the end of the year by pretending it's already here.
