The northernmost point of the Lower 48 is teaming up for the southernmost point for a fishing giveaway.

Other than their abundance of water, Lake of the Woods, in Minnesota, and Key West, Florida, could not be more different at this time of year.

But in a show of solidarity, the two locations have launched a fishing trip giveaway as part of a month-long social media program highlighting the two destinations.

The prize? Three nights at the Flag Island Resort in Lake of the Woods and two nights at Hyatt Centric Key West in the Florida Keys.

In each destination, the winner will head out on custom fishing charters with guides and captains specializing in "freshwater inlets, lakes, ice fishing, saltwater flats, inshore and offshore experiences."

They'll also get gift cards for air travel and car rental, and a selection of fishing lures for both locations.

The prize is valued at around $5,000.

Users can enter between now and March 11 right here LakeoftheWoodsMN.com/northernmost-southernmost.
