Billed as “the world’s foremost all-male comic ballet company,” Les Ballets Trockadero de Monte Carlo is coming to the Ordway Center for the Performing Arts in St. Paul.
Founded in 1974, the Trocks, as they are known, artfully blend serious ballet skill, comedy, and drag performance to create a delightfully entertaining show.
The company is comprised of fourteen men who master traditionally male and female roles from famous ballets like The Nutcracker and Swan Lake, then add a comedic touch to create a performance that appeals to ballet aficionados and neophytes alike.
The San Francisco Chronicle calls it “full of gratifying surprises” and “the funniest and most sophisticated act around.”
The Ordway show will be on Wednesday, March 11, 2020 at 7:30 PM. Get your tickets by clicking here.
A Skillful Marriage of Comedy and Dance
Critically acclaimed for 45 years, the Trocks prove that men can skillfully dance en pointe – and that ballet can be funny. Lauded as a "comic masterpiece" (The Seattle Times) with an “impressive display of pointe work” (The Times of London), Les Ballets Trockadero de Monte Carlo is sure to delight.
The paradox of comedy and remarkable ballet skill makes for a truly unique and entertaining performance.
Pre-show Extra and post-show mingle
Make a night of it and take advantage of The Ordway’s free events before and after the show.

After the show, join the artists for a post-show mingle in the Target Atrium. There will also be a cash bar.
