The Basilica Block Party returns this fall after taking last summer off due to COVID-19, with the lineup released Thursday ahead of tickets going on sale this Friday.
Event organizers in May said they'd be holding the annual event at Basilica of St. Mary's grounds in Minneapolis in September instead of July. And on Thursday, they announced the lineup for the two-day festival's three stages:
AJR, Tate McRae, JP Saxe and Forest Bakk will perform on the main stage at Cities 97.1 Basilica Block Party on Friday, Sept. 10. Avett Brothers, Spoon, Ripe and Jensen McRae will take the main stage on Saturday, Sept. 11.
Also performing on Friday: Motion City Soundtrack, Ritt Momney and Remo Drive on one stage and Koo Koo Kanga Roo, 26 BATS! and Mae Simpson Music on the other stage.
And on Saturday, Black Pumas, Jade Bird and Zach Bryan will perform on one stage, while Diane (formerly known as D Mills), The Stress of Her Regard and Bora York will take the third stage.
General admission tickets go on sale at 10 a.m. Friday. One-day tickets are $70 and two-day passes are $125 until Aug. 23 (prices increase after that). Children ages 5-12 can get a one-day ticket for $25, and VIP ticket packages are available.
You can buy tickets online here or by calling 1-800-514-3849.
Basilica Block Party began in 1995 as a fundraiser to help fund the restoration of the Basilica. Proceeds from the event continue to help preserve the building, which is on the National Register of Historic Places. Meanwhile, 5% of proceeds will benefit the St. Vincent de Paul outreach program.
