'Lion King' birthday cake that went crazy viral was made by Minneapolis bakery
A 3-year-old's unusual birthday cake request has gone viral across the internet, with her confectionary wishes granted by a Twin Cities bakery.
Uncle Casey Feigh shared the story on Twitter, showing pictures of his niece Leona and the cake she requested for her 3rd birthday: the scene from The Lion King where Mufasa died as his horrified cub son Simba looked on...
The reason for her request? Because "everyone will be too sad to eat the cake, and it will be all for me," according to Leona.
Genius.
The cake and its traumatizing depiction of the moment Mufasa was devastatingly trampled to death by a herd of wildebeest was the creation of Thirsty Whale Bakery, located at 4149 North Fremont Avenue in Minneapolis.
Feigh's tweet has been retweeted almost 100,000 times since it was posted on Saturday (that is a lot), and has helped boost the profile of Thirsty Whale.
"Happy Birthday to the smartest 3 year old out there. You’re a clever one Leona!" the bakery said on its Facebook page.
