A Rochester bar that opened in late 2018 has been named one of the Top 50 speakeasies in the United States and Canada.

Bitter & Pour was ranked 13th in the Yelp list released last week, the only Minnesota location to be included.

The speakeasy trend has exploded in the past two decades, with bar owners creating innovative cloak-and-dagger experiences in concealed locations.

Bitter & Pour is found in the Merchant Exchange building on 3rd Street in downtown Rochester, with visitors entering via a concealed bookcase after answering a riddle.

Once inside the below-ground bar, Bitter & Pour says "only the finest and elixirs are served to Rochester's hippest drinkers."

You can check out the bar's many positive reviews on its Yelp page.
