Lizzo is returning to Minnesota this September for her first concert here since the COVID-19 pandemic began.
The Grammy winner, who developed her career in Minneapolis, will perform at Treasure Island's 16,000-seat amphitheater in Welch on Sept. 11.
Tickets for the show go on sale at 10 a.m. Wednesday, July 7. General admission is $47 and reserved seating tickets start at $68. You can buy them online here.
Tickets are expected to go quickly. The artist behind the smash hits Truth Hurts, Juice, Good As Hell and others is the headliner at some of the top music festivals this summer, including Bonnaroo on Sept. 2.
The Minnesota show seems to be her only standalone concert on her 2021 touring calendar. Her last shows in Minnesota were two sell-outs at The Armory in Minneapolis in October 2019, since when she's further cemented her spot as a must-see performer.
Lizzo, whose real name is Melissa Jefferson, grew up in Detroit and Houston before moving to Minneapolis, where she performed in small clubs with her trio The Chalice before releasing her first solo album in 2013. Her smash hit Good As Hell came out in 2016 and she moved to Los Angeles the next year after signing a record deal with Atlantic Records.
She's expected to release a new album this fall.
