Minn. man to compete on male version of 'America's Next Top Model'
America's next top model could be ... a man from Minneapolis?
The Pioneer Press reports that supermodel Tyra Banks is bringing back her reality competition "America's Next Top Model" -- but it will feature men in addition to women this time.
Of the 16 contestants on "America's Next Top Model" Cycle 20 is Don Walls, a Minneapolis rapper, model and club promoter.
According to his online profile on the website Model Mayhem, Walls is 26 and his goal is to become a full-time model and actor.
"I've always had a passion for modeling, but never had the time," Walls writes in the profile. Now, he says, he's taken off time from school to try to make that happen.
The show is inviting participation from audiences, beginning with online voting for the contestants based on photo shoots.
Voting begins March 3, and will reoccur March 7, 10, 14, 17, 23, 26, 29 and April 3, the Pioneer Press says.
