Minneapolis rock singer Kat Perkins needed another save from Twitter followers to advance to the next round on "The Voice" Tuesday night, and once again she did it.

The top singers were chosen based on audience reaction to their performances on the previous show. Perkins sang a hard rock version of the techno-pop song "Get Lucky" Monday night, but it wasn't enough for her to finish in the top four.

After the first four finalists were announced, Perkins and the three other remaining contestants each sang one more time before viewers voted for their favorite via Twitter.

Perkins sang "Barracuda" by Heart, and her coach, Adam Levine, urged the audience to save her with their Twitter votes.

"She is one of the best rock singers we've ever had" on "The Voice," Levine said.

Perkins won the instant save while the other three singers were eliminated. She will perform again on the show next week.

Perkins, 33, grew up in North Dakota but now lives in Minneapolis. She works as a nanny for an Edina family.
