Minneapolis nightclub Honey to close permanently

Its sister location, Ginger Hop, is also closing.

Popular Minneapolis nightclub and live music venue is closing for good.

The closure of the East Hennepin Avenue club was announced on the Facebook page of its sister venue, the Asian fusion restaurant Ginger Hop, which is located the floor above Honey and is also closing.

"Well everyone, it’s been a great ride!" a post on the Ginger Hop Facebook page said.

"It’s all because of you that Ginger Hop and Honey were so successful for over a decade! We are closing the doors permanently on Saturday March 28th! Please come in and grab some take out and say your goodbyes while you can."

The closure has been met with dismay on social media.
