Minnesota candidate Julie Blaha makes a crop art campaign ad

When election season meets State Fair season.
Author:

Recent years have seen some of the crop art at the Minnesota State Fair take a turn for the political – but a candidate in this year's mid-terms is going one step further.

Forget billboards, Julie Blaha has turned to crop art to publicize her campaign to become the new Minnesota State Auditor.

The candidate has painstakingly put together a campaign ad using four different types of beans.

She finishes it off with a pun on the office she's seeking: "Bean counter. Literally."

Blaha is running as the endorsed Democratic candidate for State Auditor, where she will go up against GOP candidate Pam Myhra.

For the first time this year, you can get all of Bring Me The News' State Fair coverage by following our special State Fair Flipboard magazine here.
