The "CMA Country Christmas" special on ABC Monday will be extra special for an 8-year-old girl battling cancer from Herman, Minnesota.

WDAY reported that Tatum Libbesmeier was recently surprised by her family with a Make-A-Wish trip to Nashville, Tennessee, to meet her idol, country music star Luke Bryan.

Bryan wore Libbesmeier's bracelet during the taping of the special, and at one point, he came down into the audience to hug the girl.

Libbesmeier has been battling retinoblastoma for the past year, the station said. Her trip to Nashville, however, made the pain go away, said her father.

"For four days we did not have cancer, no doctor bills, no doctors, just enjoy the moment, live the moment," Scott Libbesmeier told WDAY.

During the trip, Tatum Libbesmeier got a personal tour of Bryan's bus and walked hand-in-hand with singer back to her limousine.

"He sang to me, took pictures of me and hugged me," Libbesmeier told WDAY.

Bryan, who will play a concert in Fargo, North Dakota, in February, also promised Libbesmeier and her friends a "girl's night out." They will get their hair, makeup and nails done before taken by limousine to the show.

Libbesmeier isn't the first Minnesota child to experience the generosity of a country music star this fall.

In September, Taylor Swift met with a 7-year-old Mankato girl before the first of the singer's two shows at the Xcel Energy Center in St. Paul.

FOX 9 reported that Madison Harbarth, who was born with a rare spinal condition, met and got her picture taken with Swift.

In addition, Harbarth received a note from the singer that said, “To Madison: You are beautiful and perfect. Love, Taylor.”
