Your'e probably still recovering from this year's State Fair, but preparations for the 2020 Great Minnesota Get-Together are well underway, and on Monday fair officials announced the first headliner for the Grandstand Concert Series in 2020.
The Doobie Brothers, as part of their 50th anniversary tour, will perform at the Minnesota State Fair on Friday, Aug. 28. The iconic band will feature Tom Johnston, Michael McDonald, Pat Simmons, John McFee and special guest Dirty dozen Brass Band.
Tickets go on sale at 10 a.m., Friday, Dec. 6 and cost $69.25 or $54.25. All seats are reserved, and can be purchased through etix.com or by calling 800-514-3849. The State Fair box office will also be open Friday, Dec. 6 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.
The Doobie Brothers debut in 1969 and have since pumped out classics like "Listen to the Music," "Jesus Is Just Alright," "Black Water," and "Long Train Runnin'," among many others.
As is with every Grandstand show, the performance will conclude with a fireworks presentation.
More Grandstand acts will be announced periodically between now and when the State Fair begins, Aug. 27, 2020.
