The Great Minnesota Get Together is now just a few weeks away and there's now another reason to get excited.

The Minnesota State Fair on Tuesday released its list of 27 new alcoholic drinks that will debut at this year's festival.

Given the State Fair's ability to bring out the best in the state's food and drink makers, there will be some truly weird and wacky concoctions available to sample.

This includes a collaboration between Surly Brewing and former Twins pitcher Glen Perkins for an IPA called "The Kloser" based off Perkins' own beer creation.

Other intriguing prospects include a Funnel Cake Cream Ale by Lakefront Brewing, and an Orange Cream Ale from the North Shore's Castle Danger Brewery.
