Well what a surprise.

Minnesota's own Rebecca Kufrin will be the star of the next season of ABC's "The Bachelorette."

After having her heart broken by "The Bachelor" Arie Luyendyk, who dumped her 2 weeks after proposing for her, "Becca K." won the hearts of fans everywhere.

It was a no-brainer then for ABC to make her the next Bachelorette.

"At the end of the day this show is about finding love and that's all I want to do," she said.

ABC then sprung a surprise and introduced her to some of the contestants trying to win her heart – the first of whom stole the show by referring to Arie as "a wanker."

Earlier, she forgave the man who dumped her

Earlier on "The Bachelor: After The Rose," the Prior Lake native came face-to-face with Luyendyk for the first time since he dumped her.

She sought answers from her former betrothed as she quizzed him on when he realized he wanted to be with Lauren Burnham.

After The Bachelor admitted he regretted proposing that day "because I wasn't fully ready," Kufrin went on the offensive.

"It's a huge moment in your life, my life, everyone's life," she said, "and you robbed me of that. I'll never have that first proposal again.

"I understand it's a very high pressure situation I wish you had thought it through that more that day."

Luyendyk then went ahead and proposed to Lauren ... to a muted reaction from those in attendance.

Irrespective of what happened, Becca K. was the real winner from this year's show, judging by the response from viewers, and that's why she's the next "Bachelorette."
