Minnesota's first Wahlburgers to open later this month – and more could follow
Minnesota's first Wahlburgers location will open at the Mall of America on May 22.
The burger joint created by celebrity brothers, actors Mark and Donnie and chef Paul Wahlberg, can be found on Level 2 North of the megamall.
And the brothers will be at the mall's rotunda for the official opening at 6 p.m. on May 31, the MOA confirmed to BMTN.
It's the first of what will be more than two dozen Wahlburgers across the Midwest, thanks to a partnership between the Boston-based burger chain and grocery chain Hy-Vee.
Hy-Vee is the franchisee of Wahlburgers' Mall of America eatery, but it will be just the first of 26 such restaurants it plans to open across eight states.

So far, only three have been announced – the MOA outlet being the first, with others coming in Kansas City and West Des Moines.
Hy-Vee could not confirm to BMTN if it is planning to bring more Wahlburgers to Minnesota, a state where the Iowa-based chain has been increasing its presence and now has 8 supermarkets.
But an official map previously released suggests that Minnesota will be getting at least one more.
The grocery chain said the MOA Wahlburgers will offer a "unique dining experience featuring signature burgers, homestyle sides, housemade condiments, fish, chicken and vegetarian options, and a full bar including specialty drinks such as adult frappes and floats."
If you want a taste of Wahlburgers without going to the Mall of America, Hy-Vee will start carrying some Wahlburgers menu items in its Market Grilles restaurants this fall.
