When it comes to One Direction fans, Minnesota apparently has the biggest devotees in the country.

Mpls.-St. Paul Magazine reports more than 1,200 fans shopped at the new 1D World store at the Mall of America Saturday, surpassing opening day numbers in Los Angeles and New York, according to the store's manager.

The Star Tribune reports that 2,000 people were at the opening, which also counted in "patient parents."

Fans camped out for the opening of the pop-up store dedicated to the British boy band, which MSP magazine said looked more "a State Fair booth with tables and posters."

The store -- which is selling items ranging from cardboard cutouts of each group member for $30, to adult-sized onesies for $100, is open in the Mall of America Rotunda area until April 26.

Fans will be able to cast their cardboard cutouts aside July 18 when the real members of One Direction play Target Center in Minneapolis.
