NBCUniversal has struck a deal to bring its streaming service, Peacock, to Roku devices.
Peacock launched earlier in the summer, becoming the streaming home for NBC shows, movies and live sports including the U.S. Open Golf and Premier League soccer.
But it launched without being made available on some of the most popular streaming devices in the country, with the broadcaster not reaching a deal with Roku and Amazon Fire.
That's changed with Roku at least, with a deal announced on Friday that will see Peacock become available on Roku devices in the near future.
"More than 15 million people signed up for Peacock since its national launch in July and we are thrilled millions more will now be able to access and enjoy Peacock along with other NBCUniversal apps on their favorite Roku devices," a NBCUniversal spokeswoman said.
"Roku’s incredible reach will not only help us ensure Peacock is available to our fans wherever they consume video but continue to expand NBCUniversal’s unrivaled digital presence across platforms.”
Peacock currently costs $4.99 a month for its package with ads, and $9.99 a month without ads.
