No Mega Millions winner means biggest ever $868 million jackpot for next draw

The Tuesday jackpot was $667 million.
Publish date:

This Friday will see the biggest jackpot in Mega Millions history, after nobody won the top prize in Tuesday's draw.

The lottery game says that the jackpot will rise to a ludicrous $868 million, after nobody struck it rich in Tuesday's $667 million game.

It's the second largest jackpot in U.S. lottery history, second only to the $1.6 billion Powerball jackpot split three ways in January 2016.

While there was no jackpot winner on Tuesday, eight players did win $1 million.

Tuesday's numbers were 3, 45, 49, 61, 69, and the Mega Ball was 9.

The chances of matching all six numbers to claim the top prize are one in 302.5 million.

The jackpot has rolled over 24 times since July 24, when a group of office workers shared $543 million.
