No Powerball winner again, as jackpot swells to $750M

It's that time again to throw away money on a 292 million-to-1 chance.
Publish date:

It's been almost three months since Christmas and still no Powerball winner has been crowned since.

The last time someone matched the Powerball numbers was Dec. 26, and the jackpot has now swelled to a massive $750 million after Saturday's draw once again drew a blank.

This means it's the 4th highest lottery jackpot in U.S. history, coming behind the $1.586 billion Powerball win in January 2016, the $1.537 billion Mega Millions win this past October, and a $758.7 million Powerball jackpot in August 2017.

The winning numbers for Saturday's draw were 24-25-52-60-66, and the Powerball was 05.

The jackpot will now roll over to Wednesday's drawing, which will take place at 9:59 p.m. Central.

If the $750 million jackpot was taken as a lump sum, it would result in a payout of $465.5 million.

But a reminder before you go and splash your hard-earned cash on oodles of tickets: The chances of winning are around 1 in 292.2 million.
