A growing donut chain from North Carolina plans to make its debut in Minnesota, and has picked Woodbury as the location for its first store.

Duck Donuts, which first opened its doors in 2007 and has since expanded to more than 70 locations nationwide, is expected to open its first Minnesota store within the next month.

It's selected a location on Currell Boulevard, near the intersection of Valley Creek Road and Bielenberg Drive, and has put out a call for full-time and part-time workers to start work at the eatery beginning Nov. 27.

The chain is known for its signature and seasonal donuts that right now include a glazed apple, streusel and salted caramel donut, and Oreo crumble donuts with hot fudge drizzles.

But where it really stands out is that it gives diners the option to design their own donuts, making custom vanilla cake donuts to order, allowing customers to select the coating (ie. powdered sugar, cinnamon etc.), frosting, topping and drizzle.

Back to the jobs, Duck Donuts is looking to fill all positions including shift leaders, cashiers, donut makers, donut toppers and back of house staff.
