A brewery in northern Minnesota says its entire operation has burned down.

Portage Brewing, based in Walker on Leech Lake, says its brewery was damaged in the blaze on Sunday morning.

"No one was hurt, which we are most thankful for," the brewery wrote on its Facebook page. "We thank everyone for their continued support."

The brewery has been in business for less than 2 years, having been established within the boundaries of Chippewa National Forest in April 2017.

Its brewery also included a "destination taproom" that was open year-round to visitors to the Leech Lake area.

"Our friends at Portage Brewing Company suffered a very serious fire early this morning," Bemidji Brewing wrote on Sunday. "Our hearts are with all of the incredible people behind Portage. Keep them in your thoughts and send them good vibes as they move forward from this terrible situation."
