Once again, the Xcel is the venue for another music legend's farewell tour

Paul Simon will pay a visit to St. Paul in June.

First it was Elton John, now Paul Simon is the latest music legend to announce a retirement farewell tour.

In both cases their stop in Minnesota will be at the Xcel Energy Center in St. Paul, with Paul Simon confirming his "Homeward Bound" farewell tour will swing by Minnesota this June.

The songwriter will take to the stage at the Xcel on June 8, it was confirmed on his website on Monday.

Simon, who rose to fame as part of the musical duo Simon & Garfunkel before going on to huge solo success, thanked his fans as he announced his next tour will be his last.

"I feel the travel and time away from my wife and family takes a toll that detracts from the joy of playing. I'd like to leave with a big Thank You to the many folks around the world who've come out to watch me play over the last 50 years."

Tickets for the St. Paul show will go on sale at 10 a.m. on Saturday, with presale tickets going on sale at 10 a.m. on Tuesday.

Tickets will range from $46 to $532.
