The Black Friday shopping rush has been a painstaking process for those standing in lines at stores, but also for some online shoppers, namely those looking to take advantage of reduced prices from Costco.

Costco's online shopping was down for 16 hours during its Thanksgiving Day sale, and ordering issues and delays have continued through Black Friday, with the company alerting online customers as soon as they enter the website with a message that reads:

"The website is currently experiencing longer than normal response times. Please note that all Thanksgiving Day-only promotions have been extended into Friday November 29th, WHILE SUPPLIES LAST. We apologize for any inconvenience."

The issues range from the homepage simply loading to customers experiencing an inability to sign in and/or check out.

Complaints filed through DownDetector went through a lull during the overnight hours, but they've since ramped back up since about 9 a.m. No word on when the issues will be resolved.
